Keystone STARS is an accreditation program that evaluates and improves the level of quality of early education programs through continuous quality improvement strategies. Keystone STARS uses a 4-point rating system to indicate the level of quality in each program. Growing with Grace Christian Preschool currently holds a 4-star rating with Keystone STARS.
It is required by state law that all childcare centers become licensed by DHS to ensure proper safety, supervision, and care are provided to all enrolled children. Yearly inspections dictate the licensure provided by DHS. Growing with Grace Christian Preschool has a renewed license through DHS as of December 2021.
Growing with Grace Christian Preschool works closely with the United Way, the Pennsylvania Early Learning Resource Center, and the New York Child Care Subsidy Program to provide tuition assistance to eligible families. Each year, Growing with Grace Christian Preschool hosts a Scholastic Bookfair where all families are welcome and encouraged to visit. A portion of the proceeds directly benefit the classrooms within our school.
Growing with Grace Christian Preschool regularly collects donated items of various types, then donates them directly to our local Friendship Table.
Our students regularly visit the Public Library for a craft and story time. Library staff also come into our school to hold a lesson, craft, and group activity with our Preschool and Jr. Preschool classrooms.
Growing with Grace Christian Preschool works closely with the local high school to allow students receiving their Child Development Associate's degree to earn observation and experience hours in our Preschool classroom.
Jim Ronan, local musician and music teacher, comes to our school once a month to host music class in our gymnasium. Students of all ages enjoy this experience.
